Callahan Crossley & Amberleigh Moore Both Make It Through Wildcard Saturday On Moore's Horses
It's one of the greatest examples of that famous "rodeo comradary" and sportsmanship this reporter has ever seen. Callahan Crossley had been swapping horses throughout her pool at the Calgary Stampede and just not having a lot of luck. When Crossley needed a horse for Wildcard Saturday, Amberleigh Moore - who was also competing on Saturday - didn't hesitate to offer up her backup horse "Ducky". Moore made it through the wildcard performance with her time of 17.50 on her famous mare Paige, while Crossley topped the field with a 17.37 on her first time riding Ducky. Listening to the interview, it's hard to say which run the owner was more proud of.
Gloria & Green: The Reigning Champ & A First Timer Move On To Championship Sunday
Marcos Gloria - the reigning champion of the Calgary Stampede - and Garrett Green - a competitor that is making his first trip to championship Sunday at Calgary - have made it through the wildcard round. Green won the round on Saturday with a score of 88 points aboard Wild Hoggs' "Son Of Odin", while Gloria made it through the wildcard with 86.5 points on "Speak Easy" of X6 Ranches.

Mason Clements logged an impressive 88-point score aboard Duffy Rodeo's Blue Bananas amidst a stellar bareback riding during the final day of Pool B at the Calgary Stampede. His efforts throughout the rest of his pool weren't enough to earn him a ticket straight through to championship Sunday though, so Clements is preparing to do battle tomorrow during the Wildcard round where only the top two will advance to join the others on Sunday.

It's pretty few and far between when fans see an entire performance of bull riding where every competitor rides their bull. With the way the breeding programs have advanced, it's a tough task at a professional level to get done, but the bull riders in Pool B of the Calgary Stampede did it in their fourth day of competition today. Leading the pack was the five-time world champion, Sage Kimzey aboard Outlaw Bucklers Nickel Package. As Sage says, "the bulls bucked hard and the guys brought their riding pants" in the eighth performance of the Calgary Stampede.
