Breakaway roper Gannyn Gower made a plan before she completed her runs at the 2018 International Finals Youth Rodeo. She roped her first calf in a time of 2.6 seconds, setting her up for success in round two and putting the pressure on to continue her winning ways.

Gower came back with a 2.8-second run, her relief evident after her run as she realized that her plan was coming together. She heads into the short round tonight in the top 15 in the aggregate.
