'You Better Have Virgil' - Richmond Champion, 2018 Ponoka Stampede Winner

“If you’re in Ponoka and you have to ride against Jake Vold, you better have Virgil,” said Richmond Champion, the 2018 Ponoka Stampede bareback riding winner. 

Champion took home $12,948 throughout the week at the Ponoka Stampede, including winning the showdown round with his 91.25-point ride aboard the 2017 PRCA bareback horse of the year, C5 Rodeo’s Virgil.

Champion went head-to-head in the four-man round at the Ponoka Stampede with traveling partners Jake Vold and Caleb Bennett, as well as Inglis, Manitoba's Orin Larsen.
