The Teepee Creek Stampede kicks off this weekend and this “little town with a big rodeo” features some interesting, and sometimes obscure, numbers.
Check out the numbers of this year’s Teepee Creek Stampede:
This is the first year the Teepee Creek Stampede has been on the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association’s Finning Pro Tour.
In 2018, the team roping title was split three ways by the teams of Dawson and Dillon Graham, Denver Johnson and Tristin Woolsey, and Nick Teixeira and Jace Lambert.
Teepee Creek is stop No. 5 on the 2019 Finning Pro Tour. Watch the entire tour LIVE on FloRodeo this year.

There are only seven houses in the hamlet of Teepee Creek.
A tradition that started in the 1950s, the “Teepee Creek Terror” is a challenge where one cowboy gets on a nasty bronc and must ride it for not eight, but 10 seconds.
There are only about 20 residents in the hamlet as well.
The event started in Teepee Creek back in 1917, meaning it's celebrating its 102nd anniversary in 2019.
As the crow flies, saddle bronc rider Lachlan Miller will be 12,519 kilometers from his hometown of Warwick, Australia, when he competes in Teepee Creek.
The small little town sees more than 20,000 fans attend the rodeo and concerts each year—that’s 1,000 times the population of the town!
The purse for the major events at the 2019 Teepee Creek Stampede has increased to a total of $56,000 ($8,000 in each major event, $4000 for header, and $4000 for heeler).
