7 Houses

There are only seven houses in the hamlet of Teepee Creek.

10 Seconds

A tradition that started in the 1950s, the “Teepee Creek Terror” is a challenge where one cowboy gets on a nasty bronc and must ride it for not eight, but 10 seconds.

20 Residents

There are only about 20 residents in the hamlet as well.

1917

The event started in Teepee Creek back in 1917, meaning it's celebrating its 102nd anniversary in 2019.

12,519 Kilometers

As the crow flies, saddle bronc rider Lachlan Miller will be 12,519 kilometers from his hometown of Warwick, Australia, when he competes in Teepee Creek.

20,000 Fans

The small little town sees more than 20,000 fans attend the rodeo and concerts each year—that’s 1,000 times the population of the town!

$56,000

The purse for the major events at the 2019 Teepee Creek Stampede has increased to a total of $56,000 ($8,000 in each major event, $4000 for header, and $4000 for heeler).
