We put out a call to youth rodeo athletes far and wide in search of cowboys and cowgirls who are not only tough competitors inside the rodeo arena, but also great representatives for the sport of rodeo. And let us tell you, the future of rodeo is looking bright—we received 200 applications in three days.

See the draw for the Calgary Stampede's Wildcard round on Saturday, July 13 where only the top two of the day will move on the join the other eight already set to compete on championship Sunday. 

The fate is sealed for athletes in Pool B of the competition at the Calgary Stampede with the top four moving onto Sunday, and the other six preparing for Wildcard Saturday. Of the ten that competed in the pool, see which will be getting a day of rest tomorrow while they await the final two competitors in the wildcard round to join them on Championship Sunday.

The Teepee Creek Stampede kicks off this weekend and this “little town with a big rodeo” features some interesting, and sometimes obscure, numbers.  

The group that has paid rodeo athletes more than $4.5 million since it’s launch in May of 2018 already promises to put more money in the pockets of competitors next year. In a press release today, the WCRA announced their 2020 schedule that includes $5,000,000 in prize money for competitors between four million-dollar events, and three semi-finals. 

The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo in Colorado Springs, Colorado always hosts a star-studded line-up of PRCA competitors on the hunt for a National Finals Rodeo qualification with the huge payout this event has to offer. The 2019 edition, coming to you July 10-13 is no exception with it’s list of world champions, NFR regulars and five reigning champions of the event coming back to defend their titles.
