Give It Up For The 2018 Finning Pro Tour Champs
After nine tour rodeos and the Finning Pro Tour Finals the points have been tallied and we can officially congratulate the winners of the tour.
They've been tested.
Now, they've been tallied.
Give it up for the champions of the 2018 Finning Pro Tour:
Bareback: Ty Taypotat
Steer Wrestling: Stephen Culling
Saddle Bronc: Zeke Thurston
Tie-Down Roping: Kyle Lucas
Team Roping: Denver Johnson and Tristin Woolsey
Barrel Racing: Carman Pozzobon
Bull Riding: Cody Lee Coverchuk
Each of these champions has earned the most points between the nine season rodeos — Wainwright, Ponoka, Williams Lake, Morris, Edmonton, Medicine Hat, Strathmore, Dawson Creek, and Armstrong — and the Finning Pro Tour Finals' shootout round on the last day of rodeo action in Armstrong, British Columbia. Contestants earned 25 points for each rodeo they entered (including the tour finals), plus 100 points for a first-place finish, 90 for second, 80 for third, and so on.
Winners of the tour in every event besides the barrel racing and team roping also receive a bye into the 2019 Calgary Stampede and eligibility to win that rodeo's $100,000 purse.
