The FCS is back in action in Week 6 of the NCAA season! With 7 games streaming on FloCollege this weekend, here is this week's roundup of all things FCS!

In an already eventful 2025 season, NCAA football keeps moving right along. In D1, the FCS schools are pulling out all of the stops in the early weeks.

From huge wins, crazy upsets and nail biters until the very end, the FCS schools are showing up and showing out and Week 5 will be no different.
FloCollege is home to CAA and Butler football for the 2025 season and with both groups in action for Week 6, a new roundup is just what the football fans ordered. After last week’s FCS roundup, more chaos has commenced and there is a lot to talk about as Week 6 approaches.
So, without further ado, buckle up, and let’s get into this FCS roundup.
The FCS Football Rankings Review
For yet another week, CAA schools have found themselves in the Top-25 is the FCS rankings.
Three CAA schools have landed in the Top-25 in this week’s AFCA coaches poll. Monmouth clocks in at 11th after being previously-ranked 12th. Villanova jumps up in the rankings to 17th after being previously-ranked 19th. Rhode Island rounds out the CAA schools in the rankings coming in at 18th after being previously ranked 10th.

A Glimpse At This Week’s CAA Matchups
With all of the CAA action slated to begin as early as 7:00PM ET on Friday, Oct. 10, here is a look at all things CAA football and the top matches to be aware of heading into the new week of NCAA football!
Brown vs. Bryant Football
The only Friday football game in Week 6 features the Ivy League Brown vs. Bryant.
The Brown Bears will travel to Smithfield, R.I. to take on Bryant in the Week 6 contest. The Bears enter the competition 2-1 on the season and 0-1 in Ivy play. Brown will hope to continue its winning ways against CAA schools after upsetting Rhode Island on Oct. 3.
In the 28-21 victory, the Bears tallied 341 yards of total offense. Quarterback James Murphy was 20-for-27 for 201 yards and two touchdowns.
Bryant heads into the contest 2-4 on the season and 0-3 in CAA play. The Bulldogs are hoping to find a spark to propel them in the win column. In the most recent contest, Bryant suffered a loss to the University of Maine on Oct. 4.
In the 34-14 loss, the Bulldogs tallied 253 yards of offense. Quarterback Jaden Keefner was 5-for-9 on pass completion with 76 yards. Keefner was also the leading rusher for Bryant with 83 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns.
New Hampshire vs. No. 18 Rhode Island Football
The second game CAA fans should keep their eyes on this week is when New Hampshire takes on No.18-ranked Rhode Island.
New Hampshire will head on the road to Kingston, R.I. to take on Rhode Island. The Wildcats are 3-3 on the season and 1-1 in CAA play. In the most recent contest on Oct. 4, New Hampshire fell to Villanova 37-7. In the loss, the Wildcats tallied 207 yards of offense. Matt Vezza was 13-for-23 in pass completion Vezza also was the leading rusher with 48 yards on 10 carries with one rushing touchdown.
Rhode Island heads into the contest itching to pick up a win and bust a two game losing streak. The Rams are 4-2 on the season and 2-0 in CAA play. In the most recent contest on Oct. 3, Rhode Island suffered defeat from Brown, 28-21.
In the loss, Rhode Island tallied 452 yards. Devin Farrell was 30-for-44 on pass completion with 353 yards and three touchdown passes.
Monmouth vs. Towson Football
The CAA fans should also be paying attention to Monmouth travelling to Towson in Week 6. These two teams will square off in Towson’s homecoming game on Oct. 11.
Monmouth heads into the contest with a solid start to the season thus far. The Hawks are 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in CAA play. In the most recent contest on Oct. 4, the Hawks picked up a huge victory over Delaware State, 49-38. In the victory, the Hawks tallied 636 yards of total offense. Derek Robertson was 25-for-38 on pass completion with 351 yards and four touchdown tosses.
Towson heads into the home contest 3-3 on the season and 1-1 in CAA play. The Tigers are hoping to bounce back after a home loss on Oct. 4 to Elon. In the 17-3 loss, the Tigers tallied 321 yards of offense. Andrew Indorf was 20-for-32 on pass completion with 257 yards.
Villanova vs. Elon Football
The final matchup that CAA fans should keep their eyes peeled for is when Villanova travels to take on Elon.
Villanova enters the contest having a good season thus far. The Wildcats are 3-2 overall and 2-1 in CAA play. In the most recent contest on Oct. 4, Villanova traveled to New Hampshire and came away the top cat with a 37-7 win.
In the victory, the Wildcats tallied 461 total yards of offense. Quarterback Pat McQuaide was 16-for-25 on pass completion with 219 yards.
Elon enters the contest and has also had a good season so far. The Phoenix are 4-2 overall and 2-0 in CAA play. In the matchup on Oct. 4, Elon traveled to Towson and walked away with a 17-3 victory. The Phoenix tallied 428 yards of offense and quarterback Landen Clark was 15-for-25 on pass completion with 181 yards.
The Butler Bulldog Bark
FloCollege isn’t just the home of CAA football! It also is the home of the Butler Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are currently 4-2 on the 2025 season and 2-0 in PFL play.
In the most recent contest on Oct. 4, the Bulldogs found an overtime victory over St. Thomas, 21-14. In the victory, Butler tallied 286 yards of offense. Quarterback Regan Andrew was 16-for-21 on pass completion with 141 yards.
On Oct. 11, the Bulldogs will return home to take on ranked Presbyterian. The Blue Hose are 5-0 on the season and 1-0 in PFL play after defeating Morehead State 41-0 on Sept. 27.
