John Douch and Ashley Goforth are the big winners on day two of the Barry Burk Jr Roping Round Up in Ardmore, Okla.

Barry Burk's Roping Day 2 Recap
Day 2 of Barry Burk's Jr Roping Roundup started with the 16-19 Tiedown roping. If you take a look back at some of the past champions, you will recognize many WNFR qualifiers and several World Champions, so you can imagine the competition is tough. The age group ropings are all 3 rounds and a top 15 short round. The winner of the average of the 16-19 tiedown won a gorgeous Oxbow saddle, and the fast time winner won a trophy rope can. 

16-19 Tiedown Roping

Roy Lee from Arkansas got the win in Round 1 with a 9.63 second run, which would be the longest time to win a round all day. 

Round 1 Results: 
  1. ​Roy Lee- 9.63 seconds
  2. Landon Koehn- 9.81
  3. King Pickett- 10.12
  4. Quade Hiatt- 10.23
  5. Ross Maguire- 10.53
  6. Austin Atkinson- 10.63
Things got a little faster in round 2, as Zack Jongbloed took the round win with an 8.23 second run. 

Round 2 Results: 
  1. ​Zack Jongbloed- 8.23 seconds
  2. Garrett Elmore- 8.36
  3. John Douch- 9.14
  4. Cash Enderli- 9.37
  5. Dakota Felton- 9.55
  6. Jay Terrell- 9.87
Landon Koehn was able to get the round win in round 3 with an 8.58 second run. 

Round 3 Results: 
  1. ​Landon Koehn- 8.58 seconds
  2. Ty Iselt- 8.84
  3. Cody Harter- 9.86
  4. Cash Enderli- 10.21
  5. Logan Wiseman- 10.53
  6. Garrison Koehn- 10.6
The short round proved to be the toughest round of all, and where the fast time of the entire roping happened. John Douch knew he had ground to make up, as he came into the short round sitting third. He won the short go, and won the average title, with his blazing fast 7.84 second run. 

Short Round Results: 
  1. ​John Douch- 7.84 seconds
  2. Cash Enderli- 9.1
  3. Ben Piazza- 9.12
  4. Roy Lee- 9.86
  5. Logan Wiseman- 10.01
  6. Garrison Koehn- 10.29

Average Results: 
  1. ​John Douch- 39.74 seconds on 4 head
  2. Landon Koehn- 41.34
  3. Cash Enderli- 41.5
  4. Roy Lee- 43.75
  5. Ben Piazza- 44.3
  6. Logan Wiseman- 46.5

Open Ladies Breakaway

The Open Ladies Breakaway Roping finished out Day 2 at the Barry Burk Jr Roping Roundup in Ardmore, Okla. at the Hardy Murphy Coliseum. The ladies certainly showed up and showed out. There were 47 of the toughest ladies entered in the Open Breakaway. The open ladies breakaway roping was 2 rounds and a top 15 short round. The average winner won a beautiful Oxbow trophy saddle, and the fast time winner won a trophy rope can. 

The young gun from Kansas, Caxton Martin, won round 1 with a blistering fast run of 2.33 seconds, which went on to win the fast time of the entire roping. 

Round 1 Results: 
  1. ​Caxton Martin- 2.33 seconds
  2. Amber Crawford- 2.92
  3. Casssidy Boggs- 2.98
  4. Abby Medlin- 3.08
  5. Ashley Goforth- 3.15
  6. Kirbie Crouse- 3.23

Kelsie Chace took the win in round 2 with a 2.52 second run. 

Round 2 Results: 
  1. ​Kelsie Chace- 2.52 seconds
  2. Beau Peterson- 2.60
  3. Lindsey Wallace- 2.63
  4. Katie White- 2.75
  5. Tera Arledge- 2.79
  6. Cassidy Kelly- 2.85
Katie White came back 15th to the short round and didn't have anything to lose. She seized the opportunity and won the short round with a 2.86 second run. 

Short Round Results: 
  1. ​Katie White- 2.86 seconds
  2. Ashley Goforth- 2.94
  3. Amber Crawford- 3.24
  4. Taylor Toddy- 3.88
  5. Karson Stevens- 4.50
  6. Samantha Chick- 4.76

Ashley Goforth came back second high call, but knew she couldn't safety up too much to win the average. She won second in the short round with a 2.94 second run and won the average.

  1. ​Ashley Goforth- 8.97 seconds on 3 head
  2. Amber Crawford- 9.78
  3. Taylor Toddy- 11.28
  4. Samantha Chick- 12.11
  5. Karson Stevens- 13.64
  6. Katie White- 18.57
