The 2017 Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo kicks off on Wednesday, July 12, at 7 PM in Colorado Springs, CO, and FloRodeo is bringing you all the action LIVE. The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, which continues until Saturday, July 15, has truly become a part of the community throughout its 77-year history. The rodeo features top-ranked cowboys along with some of the best stock in the industry, which provides for a lot of good family fun and entertainment.

The rodeo consists of four performances of invitational championship rodeo and a finals Championship Shoot Out on Saturday night. The best athletes in rodeo are competing for top prize money.

July 13
7 PM MST: Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo at the Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs- LIVE
July 14
7 PM MST: Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo at the Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs- LIVE
July 15
12:30 PM MST: Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo at the Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs- LIVE
7 PM MST:: Pikes Peak or Bust Championship Round of Rodeo at the Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs- LIVE
*All times are in Mountain Standard Time.


Events Include:
  • Bareback Riding
  • Steer Wrestling
  • Team Roping
  • Saddle Bronc Riding
  • Tie-Down Roping
  • Barrel Racing
  • Bull Riding
During the Wednesday and Thursday evening performances ONLY, fans will experience a bonus event -- American freestyle bullfighting. Two top contenders will go head-to-head for the cash prize each of the two nights.

The rodeo has a unique format in which eight contestants compete per an event in the first four performances. The top two contestants in each event from those four performances advance to the Championship Shoot Out on Saturday night. The Saturday night performance is a clean slate for those eight contestants per an event. The top three contestants per event from the Championship Shoot Out advance to the Super Shoot Out, which is immediately following the Championship Shoot Out on Saturday night. The Super Shoot Out is once again a clean slate, and it is where the champions are crowned.

  • Champion: $15,000
  • 2nd Place: $5,000
  • 3rd Place: $2,000
  • 4th-8th Place: $800 each
