What To Watch At Duvall's Annual Steer Wrestling Jackpot
The Duvall's 39th Annual Steer Wrestling Jackpot is set to kick off Friday at noon in Checotah, OK. The Duvall's Annual Jackpot is known as one of the best steer wrestling jackpots, and you can watch LIVE on FloRodeo all weekend long as the event continues at noon on Saturday and Sunday.

Champion of Champions

The Champion of Champions event will be the first jackpot of the weekend. The Champion of Champions jackpot had 68 entries last year, featuring some of the best steer wrestlers going down the road. Books open Friday morning and close at 11 AM. The jackpot will have four rounds followed by a short round.

The winner of the average will receive a beautiful buckle along with plenty of cash.

Last year, Tanner Brunner was the big winner. Who do you think will take it all home this year?

40 & Over

The 40 and Over gets underway at noon on Saturday. The 40 and Over is where all the young guns will be taking notes on how the legends do it. The jackpot is only two rounds and a short round. It also features a 50 and Over incentive.

The winner of the 40 and over, along with the winner of the 50 and Over incentive, will win cash and a beautiful championship buckle.

One of the best memories from the 40 and Over came back in 2014 when Roy Duvall, at the age of 71, showed everyone he could still get it done.

Last year in the 40 and Over, Dean Stermer took home the championship, and Robert Martin won the 50 and Over incentive. Will they be able to defend their titles against the other legends?

Battle Royal

Follow the 40 and Over Jackpot on Saturday, the Battle Royal is where the competition will get interesting. The Battle Royal is limited to eight entries and is competed in tournament style. The contestants are matched up against another contestant for the first round of the tournament. Each match consists of four runs per contestant, the winner from that match moves on to battle the winner from another match, until the Battle Royal Champion is decided. The competition will feature seven "battles" before the champion is crowned.

The champion gets to take home a hefty chunk of change, along with a beautiful buckle.

Last year, Rowdy Parrott bested Chase Crane to win the title. Will Rowdy be able to defend his title, or will someone else be crowned the champion?

19 & Under

The 19 and Under will end the day on Saturday. It is where the young talent gets to show the legends how it has all changed since they were young. The 19 and Under also features a 16 and Under incentive. The 19 and Under will feature two full rounds of competition along with a championship round. The 19 and Under will serve as the first JrNFR Qualifier this year, and you can read all about that HERE.

The winner of the 19 and Under gets to take home a beautiful buckle, cash, and a $250 gift certificate for Twisted X Shoes-- along with points to help them quailify for the JrNFR. The 16 and Under incentive winner will also win a beautiful buckle.

Last year, Ty Chocrane took home the title in the 19 and Under, and Austin Madison won the 16 and Under incentive. Which young gun will take on the title in 2017?

Open Shootout

The Open Shootout will follow Cowboy Church on Sunday and is set to kick off at noon. The Open Shootout is the last chance for a cowboy to claim a championship. The Open Shootout will feature two full rounds of competition, and cowboys may enter twice.

The champion of the open shootout will take home a beautiful buckle, along with a cash prize.

Last year, Riley Duvall bested everyone in the field, winning both rounds and the average. Can he do it again this year, or will someone else take the title?

High Point Award

The Duvall's have announced a High Point Award to be given away at the end of the weekend. The High Point Award will be given to the contestant who places in the most events throughout the weekend. The high point winner will receive beautiful Benchmark Buckle compliments of Twister Trailer; $1,000 credit toward a new set of tires compliments of Tire One; Bex sunglasses and cap compliments of Patrick Presley; and an Orko Cooler compliments of True Value of Checotah.
