Sarah Rose McDonald's Beloved Horse 'Bling' Dies Unexpectedly
Sarah Rose McDonald posted on Facebook today that her beloved horse, "Bling," died unexpectedly on Monday of kidney failure.

Bling was known by everyone for her unique color and electrifying running style. McDonald, who is from Brunswick, Georgia, and Bling made the perfect duo, winning countless championships and capturing the hearts of audiences everywhere. The duo broke onto the professional circuit with a storm in 2014 after capturing Rookie of the Year honors and $64,063 in earnings at 59 rodeos. They came back in 2015 to win more money at the WNFR than any other barrel racing team with $139,827 and finished third in the world. Early in 2016, the duo won The American and added $100,000 to their lifetime earning. The duo just finished competing in its second WNFR.

Bling will go down in the history books as one of the great barrel racing horses. Our condolences go out to Sarah Rose McDonald and her family.
